The Prosaic Hypothesis

For completion's sake, this is, in effect, the Null Hypothesis.

John Reinhardt is suffering from a mental illness. The conditions for his illness were created when, in his childhood, he interrupted his parents in the act of coitus, embedding a deep set psychosexual trauma.

His relationship with Sing Watson, once reaching a physical stage, triggered an emotional breakdown. He is incarcerated in the St. Thomas Institute and is projecting all of the events that occur in DOKTOR SLEEPLESS.

This is a deeply unsatisfying proposition. I'm outlining it in the hope it will be proven false.

But bear in mind, the poster on the wall of the cell of the Institution looks rather like the Nurse. There is also a poster on the wall of a globe with a cross through it.

And the symbol for a Null Hypothesis is H0. H-Plates, anyone?
