Talk:Grinder
From doktorsleepless
A citation of the interviews mentioned would be useful. I can barely remember my own name from one day to the next, let alone what I said to people. --Warren Ellis 08:45, 5 September 2007 (PDT)
Can we all please try to remember to sign sections as we add them to the talk page? It would make it much more intelligible if it wasn't just the Internet Jesus owning up to his contribs on these pages. --Confusion 20:45, 22 January 2008 (PST)

Grinder reference
Not sure of the computer gaming grinder reference is correct in this instance. I think it has more to do with the things they do to thier bodies.
Well yes, it refers to what they do to their bodies, but from issue #1:
"While you wait for the real future you think you're owed, you f*** around with your bodies like they were virtual avatars. You add things to them. You make them better. You treat them like characters to be improved and you grind them."
Grinding
Grinding is a term taken from the MMORPG computer game World Of Warcraft. --Warren Ellis 13:05, 5 September 2007 (PDT)
Corrected
Is where I stand. :)
Adding Images
Is it permissible to add the Grinder symbol to the wiki? What about the other images you've created, such as the warning signs from LJ and warrenellis.com?

NLP -
Drawing in Grinder and NLP opens up new vistas of context. Bandler has an obscure and very, very intriguing history. (See: http://www.mininova.org/tor/868947)
Among many practicing occultists, NLP has the same denotation as sorcery, or "black magick".
From the description of the Grinders thus far in Doktor Sleepless (as of issue 2), they seem to make a personal choice [of extreme body modification], as opposed to the manipulation of others frequently used as a tactic in NLP.
