Doktor Sleepless claims to have made Shriekyware and thus Shrieky girls possible via the purchase of a large number of faulty or outmoded components he subsequently dumped onto the open market before he originally left Heavenside. (#002 pg.15)

There appears to be a fetishism surrounding Shrieky Girls, with some being put off by the experience of shared attention provided by Shrieky Girl networks while others cherish the thought of being experienced by thousands of girls at once.
