Sarah Berlin
From doktorsleepless
A "culture blogger/personality journalist" sent into Heavenside 66 days after the events in issue #8. She is first seen typing an entry on sarahberlin.net (which does exist but redirects here) on her way from New York to Heavenside, via train.
She is there to do two things: a NYT feature on the state of Heavenside, and a blog-to-print article for Dollsz concerning the resurrected grinder scene.
Blue eyes, blond haired streaked with pink, she also wears a pink shirt, with the grinder logo in black in the center. Her jacket, laptop and nails are also pink to match. Perfers Merlot (a type of grape used to make wine) to pretty much anything else.
She can't catch a taxi upon leaving the train station, and ends up wandering through Heavenside while trying to find her hotel. She walks into grinder bar and begins to ask questions about Doktor Sleepless. Big, a grinder steps up, after she says what the rest of the world has been saying about Doktor Sleepless. She isn't intimidated and doesn't back down from her statement. Big sends her to Catastrophe Books for a copy of The Darkening Sky.
She meets Celia who tells her to come back the next day and talk to Sing Watson.
Dr. Albert Cannon seemingly tries to attack her in Issue09, but she gets the drop on him with a Taser. She calls the police, and, consequently, Cannon ends up in custody in Issue10.
In Issue11 Sarah meets up with Nicole (who turns out to be Irene Adler) at a place called Victoria's. It appears Sarah has hired Nicole as some sort of advisor or informant as at the beginning of their meeting Nicole refers to Sarah as a "client," and her "work" (so far) seems to involve telling Sarah about Heavenside's gangs, discussing the Grinders and their relationship with Doktor Sleepless, and offering her opinion on John Reinhardt.
In Issue13 Sing agrees to give Sarah and interview on Doktor Sleepless on the condition that she doesn't cut a word.
