  • Perhaps John Reinhardt has become "unstuck in time". He appears in several places at once, and each would be considered to be inhabiting it's own personal timeline. (Amazon John vs Dead John vs Prison John)

It is interesting that on page 1, issue 1, "John" says that "today" he becomes a character. Which day "today" is never specified, and it seems as if the person speaking flips from one side of the mirror to the other between panels 4 and 5.

On the first page of issue number one, the candles burn down and then out as he is talking in the mirror. Does he have more conversations that would take more time, and we just aren't privy to them? Or is he somehow outside of time, skimming back in and out as needed? The candles should not have melted that fast, in that short of a time. Time is either screwy, or he his. Or both.
