Heavenside is a city on the Eastern coast of the United States of America.

Doktor Sleepless describes it in a brief conversation with Tag (see Tag and Dem):

DOKTOR: "GOOD CHRISTIANS WHO SETTLED HERE BANISHED THE SAILORS AND THOSE OTHERS WHO FELL BY THE WAYSIDE OVER THE MOUNTAIN RANGE THERE."

DOKTOR: "THAT WAS HELLSIDE, FOR THE FORNICATORS. THIS HERE WAS HEAVENSIDE, FOR THE GOOD MEN AND OBEDIENT WIVES."

TAG: "THERE'S NO HELLSIDE ON THE MAPS."

DOKTOR: "THEY ALL DIED."

Described by Mars as "side-effect city," Issue01, page 7, middle left panel.

Scattered (seemingly) throughout Heavanside are H-Plates, and, as of Issue05, only the Doktor seems to know their meaning and use(s).

Central Heavenside is a Contract Police zone, where police duties are licensed to private security firms whose services can be engaged by the public for a fee. Contract Police fulfill the place of "beat cops". Heavenside Police Department officers are therefore freed to pursue other matters.

Possibly also a reference to the Heaviside layer, which allows radio waves to be transmitted beyond the horizon.
