Claims to be a version of the John Reinhardt identity, and has even used this to get authorization to use a radio frequency, despite the fact that the authorities of Heavenside hold a man by the name of John Reindardt prisoner. In an attempt to prove this, he gives Preston Stoker a vial of blood, which he draws from the fingertip of his glove (#005). He has also alluded to there being another version of Reindardt who "died in a hotel room in Hamburg two years ago." (#002 p20 )

Current residence is 1 Scartop Mountain, Heavenside, USA, which, according to Sing Watson, is John Reinhardt's former residence.

Employs the Nurse, a surly assistant who is most likely not a licensed practitioner. Most likely employs several other henchmen. For example, a unknown "employee" picks up the Doktor and Nurse from the club at the end of Issue #2.

Both the Doktor and his Nurse were present when DJ Amun was confronted by a former lover at his last night-club gig.

Operates a seemingly-legal radio station on 98.3 FM following Amun's death.

Claims to be a Grinder.

While visiting Grinder bar Shank Valentine, the Doktor arrives to find a man, Jamie, whose Grind (the simulated pulse of his girlfriend) had gone bad, shocking him and stopping his heart. The Doktor revived Jamie using metallic conduits covering each fingertip on his right hand, expelling electricity (seemingly his own) to do so. It is unclear if these enhancements are permanent parts of the Doktor's Grinder physiology or just temporary tools.

Has a huge green grinder tattoo on his back.

The Doktor also appears to have some sort of "illusion powers." For example, in Issue #2, when talking about Shriekyware with Nurse Igor, he produces what appears to be a light-based, free-floating diagram at whim.
