Angel construct

A being that appeared to Celia at the end of issue #4. Internally, it appears to be a robot of some kind, with a plastic based body, kind of like the robots from I,Robot [1][2]. The wings appear to be real feathers, with a metal support system. Although it has a head, it has no facial features other than the semblance of a jaw line. The being leaves a shadow. The "wings" also appear to be fully functional, as it shown "flying" over the city.

They may be connected to St. Teresa's Eyes, which is a designer disease allowed to enter Heavenside by Doktor Sleepless. The construct or constructs are starting to appear on the rooftops of various buildings around town.

In issue 6, it becomes clear that The Angel is not under the Doktor's control - he is startled and worried when he first sees it.

In issue 8, Doktor states St. Teresa's Eyes makes it's victims see angels (several panels with the Angel Construct follow, implying that the Doktor means the constructs). He doesn't, however, state clearly whether the "angels" are hallucinations or actual beings.

In the Doktor Sleepless FAQ, Warren Ellis responded: Now that's the thing, isn't it? Are they hallucinations? One presumes so. But then why did the Doktor see one? Has he been exposed to St Theresa's too? Or was there actually something there? [3]
